Max
Coyer found an image from a dream so striking that he began a series
of paintings from it, each depicting a single cone, point down.
To the sides of each cone was the arc of a circle. The result could
be read as a cone spinning on top of a round table. In an anthropomorphic
sense, however, the cone could be read as an abstract head with
the circle's arc as two shoulders.
These
paintings were done over Coyer's previous abstract paintings, adding
complexity and richness to the new creations. |
